Today, I thought about the importance of celebrating all kinds of special events or achievements, even the small ones. It always feels good to have a special day. This year, I had the chance to celebrate Mother’s Day 3 times through my travels (March 11 in the UK, May 13 in Canada and May 27 in France) !!! I granted myself the right to make a small gift to myself each time.
As a matter of fact, it does not have to be an official holiday, and you can certainly decide to highlight your small successes. I even strongly encourage you to do it. It’s a great way to reward yourself and support your will to persevere. Do not forget that you are perfectly entitled to give yourself a small reward and to highlight each of your achievements with a special moment. It’s good for morale to self-congratulate occasionally. It does not need to be extraordinary, just treat yourself to a little fun. For some, it will be a good glass of wine with friends dear, for others a trip to the cinema, and why not this thing in your wish list that’s been tempting you for so long?
All this goes through my head while I have not written on this blog for a little more than 2 months. I worked hard over the last weeks and the time to write has been rare. However, this weekend, I highlighted the beginning of my vacation (which coincides in addition with Canada Day, July 1st) and I take this opportunity to make a return on the blog. It is not the ideas that are lacking as I continued to try new activities even if I did not have the time to share them here. With what is coming this summer, there is something to celebrate!
